Saving red tape?

Back to another government proposal which appears fine at first sight but is frankly of little use to anyone in my opinion

We have touched on this before but to reiterate, the proposal is that firms of a certain size will not have to file annual accounts.

But surely if you are creating the accounts anyway, which you should be (and its hardly more than a flick of a sage report) whats the hassle in simply filing them?

Im all for cutting unnecessary bureaucracy but filed accounts are the basis of credit decisions as the accountants body rightly points out

The proposed SME Database is frankly a joke. I would not use it. The criteria they propose using is of no interest to me

This needs to be stopped and fast
